What is a RC version ?
|
|
RC stands for "Release Candidate". It is a fully-functional version, not available to the public.
Software versions presented in this page are for your eyes
only, and must not be distributed or announced in any way without
our prior agreement.
As usual, tell us ASAP any remark and problem report by e-mail to olivier@myriad-online.com for Windows and Linux versions, didier@myriad-online.com for MacOS versions.
Do not forget to quote your computer model and system version, number of bits of the installed version and RC-version number.
If it is the first time you join
a beta-test team, please keep in mind a RC version is not made
for working intensively on important projects, but to track the remaining issues before the
public release.
An RC version is however stable enough to work on small projects.
WARNING: The RC version implements the new file
format, not readable with older versions (including the cureent public
version), but that will be supported by the final version once released.
You can however set up the program to save in a format compatible with the current public version.
If you just intend to use the product in its most recent version please download the latest public version.
This RC will install in a separate folder from the current public
version.
Important Note:
When something wrong is found in the software, please try to:
a) Provide a comprehensive report,
and explain well what happens. When you consider the program does
something wrong, explain what it actually does, and what you
consider it should do.
b) Tell us whether it is related to a new feature (you can try to
reproduce it with the previous stable version)
c) Provide if possible a way to reproduce the problem (sample files
are more than welcome)
