Good morning COMALite J,

You have to purchase an add-on from Recordare called "Dolet 1"
http://myriad-online.com/cgi-bin/workshop/YaBB.pl?board=edit;action=disp lay;num=1131530833;start=11
drifted onto the same subject somehow, also the threads concerning OMeR' exports to HA and probably more that i don't recall at the moment, sorry
Albeit Didier's involvement in the Dolet story, i am suspicious about proprietary 'standards' enabling some to milk the cow as a business model.
PS: how it goes here in Europe ! (FSF/Software patents)
Than better an import filter in HA.
PS: a good insider look would probably help knock out a few stars off the faisability scale ?

no vote, i don't really wish to support Sibelius.
amicalement,
cb

Perhaps I wrongly understood what you meant, so forgive me if it is the case.

Developing an importer for Sibelius files would rather support users who move from Sibelius to MA / HA, or users who try to use MA / HA while the people they work with use Sibelius. And as MA / HA have (I assume) a smaller market share than Sibelius, it is necesseray to the development of MA / HA to have this kind of importer.

In all cases, this importer would be good for Myriad, not for Sibelius.

Hi only to add that i have been browsing the sibeliusmusic.com site. Really a very nice resource there, and all the files are "scorched". So some sibelius and scorch files import, i believe, is a good idea.

Let me add my resounding YES to the votes.  In my praise band, I and one other person do all of the custom notation.  I use HA, with VS and the Gold Sound DB (and I love it!), and he uses Sibelius, since he gets it free (at least to him) through his employer.

Like Willie N, I have to have him export to midi, and then I import and correct the inconsistencies.  A direct import from .sib files would remove much pain from my musical life.

Mostly Contemporary Christian for my church band, but some progressive rock for my personal interest as well.

I have Sibelius4 and I use PDF to Music Pro which
converts Pdf outputs of Sibelius to HA like from the canon! Of course it would be nice to open Sibelius scores
directly in HA but as long this feature is not implemented
is much better to do that with PDF to Music/PDF to Music Pro rather than  over Music XML. At least in case of Sibelius.

Bonjour,
C'est en effet l'immense bibliothèque d'oeuvres codées en Sibelius et disponibles sur le net qui deviendrait accessible aux utilisateurs des produits Myriad. Je sais déjà ce que je lirai en premier.
