Hello, I am not an expert in html. So I decided to use the services of Google site to create a simple site for a chorale. I 'd like to load Myriad-plugin to allow future members to read .myr files Unfortunately, I don't know how I can put in place the google gadget and install the plug-in on my site. Could someone help me providing a simple procedure to do that ? I thank you for your help Philippe

or http://www.myriad-online.com/en/docs/plugdoc.htm but, I think you can't "install" the plugin on your site, only on each computer's member. ??

I'm afraid your mental picture of the way the plug-in works does not correspond to the actual way it does. Please have a look at the "scores" page of my choir's web site: http://www.alma-musica.net/html/partitions/ In the first line, you see a mention of a work by John Bennet called "Weep o mine eyes", with 3 icons. The icon points to the score in pdf, the icon to the myr file, the to the text in English and its translation to French. If you click on the icon, it opens a new page which includes a CALL TO the plug in (not the plug-in itself) I suppose that you want to create that sort of facility on your own choir's site. On your site, you need- a file structure containing the files (scores, myr, text, mp3, etc)
- a mechanism to open a page that includes a specific code to activate the plug in
- a table similar to my "scores" page that gives pointers to these files and the the "mechanism"
On the other side, EACH of your choir member need to install the Myriad Plug-in: the CALL TO the plug-in will be interpreted by the web browser on the user's computer. I have personally no clear understanding of the way Google sites are made. Generally that sort of "simple site creation tools" offer some possibility of extension. In the current case, the key points would be - the creation of a file structure
- the possibility to create a html file containing javascript functions.
Don't be afraid with that vocabulary, just try to understand if that sort of possibility is available. We can help you for the rest. [Edit] by the way, if any one could find a picture of John Bennet, I would be glad to replace that "unknown" picture....

Hello, thanks for your feedback, JF's example is very similar to what I'd like to do, I read the page sent by Tremolo ... But It's slightly complex for me. ( As I said I don't know html language ) If someone could have a simpler explanation...? may be It's not possible without some knowledge on html ? By the way, I am not sure to understand well if it will be needed that all members install the plug-in on their own PC... ( if it's the case, I think I should renounce as they will probably not succeed to do that ) Thanks anyway for your suggestion B Regards Filippo ps : and sorry for the bad english, I am french...
