Export to Midi Loses Chords

Hi. New to this forum and product. I have exported a converted pdf to midi. The converted pdf shows all notes, chords and lyrics just fine in the PDFtoMusicPro interface, but the midi file only has the notes and lyrics, not the chords. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm looking at the midi file in "Notation Composer 2" software.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Would you mind attaching the source pdf, or part of it?

AFAIK, the interface displays the rough source PDF, this is not an evidence that the source is fully converted.

Exporting in HA format (.myr) would be a good indication (eventually obtain a demo version of HA to view it). Or an XML export, if your software reads it.

Do you really have chords? with lyrics? very few people can sing chords, I suspect they would be interpreted as voices.
And secondary voices can come up in a Midi export as additional staves.

Thank you for your reply. I am not familiar with HA but will look it up. Tried Music xml, but that didn't work either.

In the interface, when I hover over a chord, a pop-out says, e.g.  ""C" This is a "Chord" Text" so I assume this is more than just a display of the original pdf, the software has recognized what the text is.

Not sure what you mean by "sing" chords. I am looking to have a complete midi - chords, lyrics, lead, etc. in the export, just as in the import.

Will attach one of the files exhibiting this behavior.

Thanks again,
Bob

First time I see a pano staff with lyrics...

I think I see most (if not all the) piano chords in the midi staves...

But now I wonder if your expectation wouldn't be to see the chord names ( C, F/C and C above the first staff) in the output... (?)

But how: as chord names (would need MIDI to encode them), translated into notes, as a guitar tablature ?

I'm attaching an example of a midi file which, when I open in a notation software like Notation Composer or Finale, shows chord names at top, lead, lyrics, and some accompaniment.

I confess I understand only a little about midi and digital music, but what I see here is what I am hoping to achieve with exports of midi files from PDFtoMusic Pro, so I can digitize pdf's of music that we play.

Thanks for your interest.
