Hi all,

I present a music show on a local internet radio station, and when I have to pre-record shows, I use Audacity to put them together and prepare an mp3 file which is then uploaded to Myriad at the station.

The problem I'm having is that although each show segment shows as 1 hour in Audacity, when they are uploaded to Myriad they show as only 45 minutes (the mp3 files show as having the correct duration in Windows, and on my other media players).

I've no idea whether this might be stemming from, but assume it must be a setting in one application or the other.

Can anyone suggest anything?

First, it might be interesting to know whether the issue lies within the format.
I suggest you try importing a -small- .wav file (standard settings : 44 KHz/16 bits) then the .mp3 resulting from the same file processed in Audacity. I've just tried this on my computer (Windows) and both files show the same duration.

There are good chances that Dickylaa confused between two programs.

"Myriad Playout" is the name of a software dedicated to radio broadcasting. It is not related to our products. :-/

I fear you are right Olivier! Apologies - I googled Issues in Myriad and found this bulletin board, and simply assumed it was the same.

Incidentally, in case anyone else hits this issue: I tracked it down to the Bit Rate format in the Export dialogue box, where the default value seems to be 'Variable' - when I amended it to 'Constant' that cured the issue. I've had no problems since.
