Where is the upload center ? http://iubito.free.fr/myriad/?lang=en Structure To organize my web space, I created several folders. You can send file in some of them... - root directory : upload here images, music files... about a serious topic, question, bug on MA/HA. e.g. an error screenshot, a MIDI that crashs HA...
I'll delete older files, or when problem related to is solved (e.g. bug fixed). Name your files with something clear ! e.g. "crashonbar25.mid"... I don't want "screenshot.jpg" or "problem.mid". - funny stuff : special folder for all jokes for the people who are always kidding on this board
Files will be deleted when the joke will vanish - avatars : for those who don't have webspace for their avatar. You can only send images. JPEG and PNG files re resized to the allowed size of the board (65x65 pixels). That's better to send a squared image
I'll not delete avatar files, but keep this folder clean ! (don't upload funny stuff here). - jam music : for users that participate to jam sessions.
- Instrument : folder when you can upload *.mui (myriad instrument) or little soundfont *.sf2 < 400 KB.
- musical symbols and Icons/screnshot of MA/HA can be used to help a newbee, telling him where to click (which palette, button...).
- Smilies : just for fun, we can add smilies on the board...
How can I insert a file/image in my message ? - Right click (or Ctrl+Click on mac) on the file you want, and you select the option to copy the link (URL). For the smilies and symbols, look at the properties, there is the URL.
- Then, in your message :
- for an image... : Code:
- for others files... : Code:
For specials queries (delete a file, move it, add a new category/folder), contact me by IM. Have Fun !

| Hi Sylvain! I'm not waiting for the translation in the English language, to tell you that you did a nice job with your Myriad Upload Center Since you're quite busy with adding folders, and keep the site nice and clean. Why don't you add one more folder, for all the rest of the stuff you have in the root-directory? Regards, Wim

Wim, for a newbee that comes with a question, and want to upload an image, it's more simple to use the root directory.

Very nice, Sylvain, I applaud you ! music collaboration and more. Good for this forum. I suggest for other forums, upload pictures to http://www.imageshack.us No login, no signup, goes right to the upload page, no need to register. So for those who use other forums imageshack is ok.

| Hi kHz_Robert Here a test with your site: It does not seem easy to find its image when one turns over on the site after having closed it.

I've added a special folder called beta Upload here the files for a problem in current beta version. When beta session will be over, this folder will disappear. I'll recreate it for future beta-test sessions.

Can I ask how I would upload a file to your site? I can do it for my own websites, but I do it through a web editing package. How do I get on to your one? It really is a great service you are offering

on this page, scroll to the bottom. You'll see a button "Browse" (in your language). Click on it, choose a file on your hard disk, and then click the "Upload !" button. If file is OK (type, size...) it'll be stored on the website. If not, you'll get an error message, written on the bottom of the page.

Thanks, I never scrolled down to that point. maybe these instructions should be at the top. Incidentally when I clicked in "my page" the labels are gibberish. However if I went to / ? lang=en everything is OK. Is that a french v english keyboard thing?

Please advise how I may post images in the forum. I've uploaded 3 files as instructed but don't seem to be able to find the option which says in the little images. Is it the 4th from the right in the second row? This gives me: [img] URL[img] Secondly, how do I select my file from the upload centre when the file is on a different web page from the page for posting a reply [or topic] on the forum? Regards, rasalgethi

On the forum, the icon to add image is this one --> Everywhere on the web, you can get the URL (i.e. the name) of the image, and insert it between [ img] and [ /img] tags. The way to get the URL varies from the internet browser you use. Right click on an image, and choose "copy image location", or "properties" and there you can copy the location (URL) of the image. In the forum, click the button and replace the word "URL" by the URL you copied. If you want to add a link, not an image in your message, use the icon On my upload page, just right click the file you want to insert, and choose "copy link location" or something like that. Use the "image" or the "internet link" button on this board, paste the URL you get when you copied "link location".
