I'm wanting to import a Harmony Assistant file that includes notes and harmonica tablature into another notation software that will display both of them. I attach a pdf of what I'd like to see displayed in the other software.
I thought MusicXML would include all the graphical information, but I just tried importing a MusicXML file including Tab from HA into MuseScore, and only the Notation was displayed.
Then I tried importing a Rich Midi Tablature Format version of the same file into MuseScore, and still it showed only the notation, no Tab.
Can anyone advise me how to get Tablature generated in Harmony Assistant displayed in other notation software?
I'll attach the MusicXML file and the Rich Midi files in the next two posts in case you can use them to check (seems only one attachment is allowed per post).
Attaching MusicXML to a post seems to be possible provided the extension is .mxl. If it still doesn't work, the best way is to turn the extension into ".zip" or compress the original file with a zipping software (7Zip, for example). Only one file can be attached to a post.
As for the importing of harmonica tablatures into MuseScore, I doubt whether it works straight away. There seems to be a plugin to be applied inside MuseScore to generate harmonica tablatures but the manual doesn't say anything about importing them...
