Problems exporting to PDF from HA   PDFmsg.jpg

I am trying to send the to the organist for the service, the score of a piece we have just added to the programme of our service of Lessons & Carols on December 10.

I get the attached error message when I open the file in Adobe Acrobat.  I am using the current pre-release beta version, 9.8.0.cr2 under Windows XP.

Does anyone know what this message means, and can you tell me how to avoid it?

The PDF file in question is too large to attach here.  Perhaps I might successfully e-mail it to whoever wants it?

The score in question is attached.  This is a temporary file I created, replacing my favorite fonts with Times New Roman.  I get the same message with the original file.

Paul,

I can reproduce your problem (in Win 7) if

- I force the PDF to be printed by HA direct export, rather than PDFCreator  (needed to go via Myrweb, since I don't see how to do that directly).

AND

- I try to open it via Adobe reader rather than Foxit reader (which I generally use).

No idea of what happens, but you have at least two bypasses:
- print from HA via PDFCreator (or similar, probably)
OR
- print the PDF with something else than adobe reader.

Did you try a production level of HA rather than the RC2?  I cannot save in old format since that function is password protected.

Andre, thanks for your comments.  I don't have PDFCreator, so I was using both File>Export and Export All from the Print dialogue box; and you're right, I was looking at the file in Acrobat.  None of the Adobe products I have can read the file properly.  Sorry about the file protection; I had meant to remove it.  (It's only there to keep me from saving stupid changes to the score.)

I haven't tried using an earlier version of HA, but what does work is to export image files from HA and create a PDF file in an Adobe product I possess called InDesign.  The total file size of the PDF is smaller than the total size of the JPEG's, so it's easier to e-mail.

P.S.--Jihel9, I don't have any problem with that PDF file, either.  Evidently, there is something about my installation, whether Windows or HA, that needs attention.  Thank you for making that clear, at least.  I'll have to take a look for the problem.

Question de gestion des polices...
