Hi all
 
I can't move the CH VII mark in the attached example to where I want it, clear of the triplet in page mode. Using scroll mode doesn't help.........help!!

Sympathies, I often have the same problem.
Is that free text? (or not-quite-as-free-as-I-would-wish text?)
 
Copy/paste your text as an effect attachment to the preceding rest. You will have a fairly wide degree of lateral movement.
 
That is, click on your text, copy it to clipboard, delete the text, click on the rest, click on effect, Txt, Edit Effect, Paste from clipboard.
