Why is it that I can tie a note (2), then untie it (3) but then get a thin beam?
It seems necessary to first un-beam the black notes, then un-tie the half-note, then re-beam the black notes.
What is the meaning of a beam on a half-note?
(2) I thought that switching to Ribbon Mode was all that was required to select a "difficult-to-select" tempo, but not in this case. I cannot even select the rest in the first bar.
