No black triangle after I select a staff

The help message for adding lyrics gives this: "Click the staff icon (black triangle ) to the left of the staff clef, and in the pop-up menu select "Staff with lyrics". The staff is now ready to receive lyrics."
When I select a staff, the staff turns green but I don't get a staff icon (black triangle). How do I bring up the staff icon?No

If you're running under page mode, press Ctrl+T to activate the control handles. Then, you'll notice that at the left of each staff, there's a "staff menu" which contains (some of) the following icons:
The "black triangle" is the second icon.

These icons are also available directly in "ruban mode" at the left of each staff. You access directly, without selecting a staff.

Très souvent, je mets la langue à "English" avant de donner des exemples aux anglophones (Menu "?", "Langue"). Ça aide à trouver le bon vocabulaire.

En typographie française, le point d'exclamation est séparé du mot qui le précède par un espace !
