There are 6 empty bars before the vocal part starts, is there any way to either erase them or change the way the edit text window works-it puts the text in bar 1 now by default-can that be changed? and where in the Manual is this covered?

| Are you using the Windows or Mac version? Harmony or Melody Assistant? The answer is a little different based on what you are using. On my Mac Harmony Assistant, I went to the "Help" menu, and in the search box typed "Delete Bars" and the Mac opened the "Edit->Bars->Delete" item for me. And on the Myriad web page under 'Tutorials', this little "guided tour' might help you too! http://www.myriad-online.com/cgi-bin/video.pl?l=GB&s=4#view The tutorials are where I got a lot of my questions answered. ttfn, Eduard

The Windows menu is still Edit > Bars > Delete, and I assume it's the same on Linux.

| I am on a Mac using harmony, and Olivier's instructions worked fine, although I understand what you meant about the search field in OS X. Thanks again for so much help! Are you using a mac? And if so do you have a good understanding of the MIDI routing in OS X? Actually its' the digital track I want to hijack and route through my breath controller to the score in Logic where the accompaniment is to this melody. Does IAC bus mean anything to you? Oh My! I just saw that you are a Mac software engineer! I shall restrain myself from bothering you about this idea too much, but if the topic is interesting your input would be most likely the answers to what I want t do.

| Yes, I'm using a Mac, but am no expert on all the MIDI drivers and apps, my "software engineering" is more general-purpose However, this little tidbit should give you some ideas about using IAC: https://sites.google.com/site/mfalab/mac-stuff/how-to-use-the-iac-driver I have written a fair amount in Harmony Asst. and recorded Virtual Singer and exported it to GarageBand, mixing its audio back in with the MIDI-exported data from H.A., using GB a lot like Logic to do MIDI rendering and audio mixing/EQ. So yes, I can help a little... feel free to send me a note sometime if you wish. I'll help if I can! ttfn, Eduard
