Hi all, Is it possible to set rasgueado marks in Harmony? I can use the arpeggio tool and set the direction arrow on the mark but am looking for the notation to enable me to set the measure illustrated in the attached jpg. Jeff

In classical guitar the arpeggio mark, which is a wavy line, actually denotes a rasgueado where the right hand plays a chord starting with the little finger and then the fist uncurls playing the chord with each finger. A straight line arrow denotes an arpeggio played with one digit either up or down. I think Jeff wants a straight line arrow.

Thanks for the replies, however; I can already set the arpeggio with arrow head mark. I am looking for the straight line arrow denoting single finger 'strum' direction with finger mark - exactly as in the jpg in the thread starter message.

I be afraid you have only the solution to import arrows as free objects... Suricate

Pepe

Thanks for the reply Pepe, I have been playing around trying to get the arrow Rasgueado marks; the best I have come up with is by using the My AutoHarp font to get the up and down arrows and then adding a normal arpeggio mark, reducing the time delay between notes and then setting the arpeggio display scale to 0. The arrows on their own are fine for printout, I only added the arpeggio mark to have the ras's play. I've attached a little myr file with the best I can do so far. The only thing I am not pleased with is having the three leger lines visible on the last semi-quaver chord. Setting repeat rasgueados as in the jpg I first attached works ok too - same method for adding the arrows, but display scaling to 0 each of the notes in the internal chords and simply losing the note head on the last. I can't help feeling there's an easier way - HA is excellent and I guess the way to do it just needs to be discovered! Jeff
