[Solved] Combining instruments

Hi all,

On a church organ it is easy to combine the sound of the different stops.
Especially with the beautiful organ sounds of the Gold Sound Base I feel the need of combining two or more voices.

I understand that I can duplicate the scores, but that is very complicated as all can understand.

Is there a way to combine voices?

Thanks and greetings, Evert

Yes, by using the laws. Basically, here is the principle :
1- Each law has its own instrument.
2- A law correspond to some criteria : the shape of the note head, the color, the velocity, the pitch, etc.
If you want to combine instruments on some notes, they must match each criterion defined in the law.
For example :
law 1 : all blue notes will sound Flute 8
law 2 : all triangle shaped heads will sound Flute 4
law 3 : all notes with the text effect ' ' (space) will sound a Flute 16

So, a blue note with a triangle head will sound Flute 8 and Flute 4. A black note with a ' ' text effect and a triangle head will sound Flute 4 and Flute 16.
Now, I think there is a script written by JP Verpeaux that allows you to change organ stops along the music.

Great! Thanks a lot for this answer.
I did not use the rules before.

I discovered that "Continue processing" checkbox needs to be checked.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. Glad to hear that you found by yourself.
