I have a 4' (foot) 'transverse' harpsichord, also known as 'spinnet' which was handmade and copied from a period museum instrument. It can produce the 'normal' harpsichord sound and a 'mute' sound also called 'lute' sound which is achieved by using felt dampers to mute the strings. If you think this can be of interest for your new database project, I can try to record & send you the files. Please let me know.

Yes, of course, we would be interested in these sounds.
However, I guess recording such an instrument won't be easy.
If you could try to record one or two notes, and send me the file, it'd be great !
