Development of Galerie stopped years ago and no one has come forward to continue development. It is doubtful that this will ever happen. Galerie is built on outdated principles, both in the programming code and in the generated html code. It would take a complete rewrite from the ground up.
 
Galerie has no built-in support for Aperture. You can export pictures from Aperture and import them in Galerie from the Finder.

Do you know of any program that is similar to galerie?
