Export in MIDI 1 is useless.

I exported a Choir piece in MIDI 1 format and of corse it is useless in another DAW. I may yet have to go back to EW choirs as they have the advantage of being a plug in in Logic which means all sung noted can still be manipulated, unfortunate that HA/VS can't be used, a pity because this is such promising software. i will keep working with it on the side, and hope that a decision is made as to whether or not HA/VS will be brought forward into this Century, thanks to you all for your patience and help.

As I understand it, you want HA/VS to sing the words for you? I don't think that's the kind of thing that MIDI is suitable for. You'd need to export a .WAV or .MP3 in order to preserve the actual acoustic rendering of the words.

Incidentally, HA can itself import prerecorded sound-tracks, so you could generate your orchestral background in your other software, export as a WAV or MP3, and load that into HA to add the words. (This, again, is a feature I've never used myself, so I can't really elaborate further.)

Thanks Steve, but there turned out to be problems that are above my Mathematical skills and a problem where removing the vibrato from the singers made them sing very false, in EWQL CHoirs this doesn't happen, but in EW I must learn their phonetic language,  but they can sing without vibrato and still follow predefined tuning systems included in the EW software. My first reason for trying HA/VS was the possibility of having soloists sing the vocal parts, but since it seems I would not be able to use my electric sax to steer the expression of the soloist I have no reason to use the present version of HA/VS, again thanks for all the help. maybe in a few years the developers will add some things that make it possible for me to use it, but I won't hold my breath since i seem to be the only user with these needs.

Thanks Steve, I had a look at a friends Sibelius and it looked just as difficult to learn as Logic's score editor. I have however spent 4 years learning Logic's score editor and don't feel the need, or have the money to buy Sibelius. I have already used EW choirs in a Logic song and because it is a plug in it allows all midi changes and unlike Sibelius, Logic is a full DAW and can add fx's and record in many formats, but thanks again for trying. Since Steinberg[Cubase] has bought Sibelius I assume it will slowly be turned into an application for mixing stolen beats and compressing the life out of any music fed into it.
