http://www.utexas.edu/cola/centers/lrc/eieol/ocsol-1-X.html

It was asked and I found this page with explanations about slavonic
http://www.utexas.edu/cola/centers/lrc/eieol/ocsol-1-X.html
So I created the attached file, but NOT yet tested.
If you have some piece, please post them here!

Here is a new version after transcribing a score and fixing some bugs

amicalement.  pierre

Hello,

I attach a good part of the "Vespers of Virgin Mary, by Sergei Rachmaninof"

For the old Church Slavonic pronunciation, I have done my best, using Finnish language from Virtual Singer, and correcting quite a few phonemes by simple SAMPA instructions. I am very keen to compare results from Slavonic script that is nearly available thru HA v962 beta versions.

I am very much prepared to issue un-protected files via private e-mail.

You have already done a great job ! My target would be, if not pretending too much, to have both modern russian and Old Church Slavonic promoted to  VS registered languages, one or both.

Cheers fm.  pierre

To pierre,

Old Church Slavonic is able to be sung by Bulgarian, if the letters are in Cyrillic.

You are right, more than likely.

However, I choosed Finnish because it is already installed in HA/VS, and also it uses latin characters.

I will remember your hint, for sure.

Thanks.  pierre

Alex, partially.
I discovered there are some extra chars, not in bulgarian cyrillic alphabet.
And I've verified on the only score I have, writted in cyrillic+latin, these chars are used.

Look at http://www.utexas.edu/cola/centers/lrc/eieol/ocsol-1-X.html

I give you the latin equivalent you can see in the table on that page, because cyrillic alphabet doesn't work on the forum.
dz - exists in macedonian alphabet, not in bulgarian
the first i - exists in ukrainian, not in bulgarian
g' - exists in serbian (?)
u - I only know it in slavonic
θ thita - like greek theta
ō omega - greek omega
y - russian
ě e-caron
ę e-ogonek
ǫ o-ogonek
ję j+e-ogonek
jǫ j+o-ogonek
ks - like greek ksi
ps - like greek psi

Could we use the modern russian alphabet, just to make sure to have a single reference for writing at least ?
Thenafter, develop specific phoneme lists for either bulgarian, old slavonic or modern russian.

All that looks very tricky, Sylvain's experience may help.
good night.  pierre

attn.Sylvain,

voir :

http://www.musicarussica.com/file.lasso?file=diction.lasso
http://www.musicarussica.com/file.lasso?file=translit.htm

Attn. Sylvain,
To sing original Old Church Slavonic you should have installed Cyrillic Old Face font (ttf).
Here you have zip file with Font, Keyboard layout and text of Spasi Gospodi, and its .myr file.
I think that using Bulgarian table you will succeed to finish the job. I tried using Finnish and Spanish languages quite well.
