Trailing notes not sounded problem in new VS

This one's really irritating. I'm sequencing a madrigal that has the word "O" stretched over several notes. The new version won't sound the last note. It's not just that word - "cease", with the word sounded on the first note and continued over three more, shows the same problem. This, I'm sure, used not to happen, only in the new version, and it's making things pretty unusable. I'm sure I'm not hallucinating! There also seems to be a change in the way that the horizontal line denoting syllable continuation is drawn in the new Harmony. Previously it was drawn only to the last continued note; now it trails off to the end of the bar, if the last continued note is the last note of the bar. I don't like that so much. Is it deliberate, or a problem?

Ooops. Sorry! I have no idea why, but those notes have started sounding again! I'll see if it happens again, but I'm happy to think it may just have been a temporary possession of my computer by anti-Renaissance monsters The line extension ugliness is still there, though.

I think I've found the problem, or at least I can stop it happening. The piece was originally held as a MIDI file which I imported with minimal quantisation into HA, then edited it and added the lyrics. That's when the problem showed up. Using Quantize > Mechanize made the problem go away, so I'm wondering if somehow the note lengths were a problem - they looked fine on the screen, but it seems that was all that was necessary to do.

If it's an import Midi File, it's maybe a problem with "pressure time" of the notes. Edit them to confirm this, and set them to 100. It should be useful.

Henri is right. When MIDI is imported, MA/HA preserves the note duration of the original MIDI, as closely as possible. But the displayed value of notes in the sheet music may be different. Also, the Virtual Singer (or Real Singer) may not be set to honor small rests. You can adjust this with "edit voice - interpretation."
