Hi,
Here is the first version of the "Voice meter" script. When the score is playing, this script says the beat numbers and marks by syllables the beat half and quarters.
The attached ZIP file contains:
- The "VoiceMeter" script, ready to be installed, that will install itself in the "Training" folder of the "Scripts" menu.
- A sample Myr file
- An HTML page and its related files, that contains instructions to record your own voice and enrich the script language list.
Presently, the French language is operational (2 voices, Olivier and Sylvie). We still miss German and English. Other languages could be implemented as well, as soon as we can determine what syllables are used to mark beat half and quarter in these languages.
Please use this script, comment it, and record your voice if possible.

Yes, I will definitely use this script. Is it possible to only count the first note when a tie exists?

So far, no, but I think they can manage that.
My pinch of salt : if the function is implemented, what about slurred notes (of the same pitch) ?

I'm reactivating this thread. 
The latest version of the VoiceMeter script is included in the beta-version that has just been made available.
I really don't remember whether the changes you requested have been implemented or not. Please check it then tell me back.
I'm also opening another thread to request audio recordings that would complete the script.
