| For this part at least (the only one I can check objectively), Sylvain is right. FFF doesn't exist in the VS fragment list, so using it makes the phoneme silent. If you want to achieve a longer "f" sound, you'd have to write: F+F+F

Here is the new Macedonian txt + 2 demos (maybe some minor mistakes in Makedonsko Devojche lyrics) I added all combination of R + vowel and vowel + R (fragments RX+... and ...+RX, because when R is between 2 consonants, it's pronounced U+RX.

I'm currently implementing some new features in the language file parsing, that could be of great interest for complex languages. Presently, on a line you can write several groups of letters and their related pronounciation. For instance o|au|ho|oh=OI means that o, au, ho or oh will be sung with the OI fragment In the next version, there will also be a notion of context, i.e. it will be possible to specify that the letters/groups of letter have also to be placed before or after some letters to make them sound like indicated. It's done through an optional prefix/suffix between brackets. For instance: [p|k|t]o|au|ho|oh[s|t]=OI means that o, au, ho or oh will be sung with the OI fragment only if preceded by either p, k or t and followed by s or t. In this case, the au in "paut" will sound OI the o in "kos" will sound OI but the au in "paur" won't sound OI (the next lines have to tell how it sounds) the o in "os" won't sound OI (the next lines have to tell how it sounds) There will also be a special character: * meaning "no letter", to indicate beginning and end of the syllable. It will enable to specify a pronunciation for a letter when it is the first or the last character of the syllable. For instance: [p|*]a=OI means that "a" will be sung with fragment OI only when preceded by p, or when it's the first character of the syllable (nothing before it).

Will these instruction "headers" be placed anywhere in any lyric line so that each staff can have unique and changing sets of rules?

Please consider that this whole thread is about the "Other languages" script ("Scripts > Virtual Singer" section). The commands I describe have to be entered in the language configuration files used by this script. It's not related to any other feature in the program. Regards,

Bravo, I can't believe! I tried this out in serbian language and the most of words are sung correct. Serbian language has only a few letters different then bulgarian (also cirillic) . We have also latinized version of writing. Seem so my dream will become reallity!! The same letters of latinized way of writing can also be used for croatian language. The rule for the bouth languages (serbian and croatian) is: "Write as you speak and speak as you write." This means no problem with phonetic beacause we have no any combinations of letters. Best regards

Hello Sylvain, Thank you very much! Today I experimentated with your newest macedonian text and everything is fine except 2 letters. One is not working with cirillic and one not with latin letters. Precise report with graphic (forum is not unicode compatible) I shall make tomorrow and post here. Still better: One H.A. file... It will be usefull if I could speak with you live over skype . Or by phone. Best regards, Zlatoje Pajcic

Hello Olivier and Sylvain, I think it will be easy to get serbian and croatian text out of Sylvains macedonian text. Bosnian alphabet is identical with croatian. I attached one *.myr file to make more clear how should that sound. Some letters are not working but with small modifictions of *.txt file it should work. Unfortunately i have no experiance with this so you are the bouth my hope... Best regards

Hello, Here is the 3rd version of macedonian rules + "Makedonsko devojche" demo I slightly changed pronounciation of O and E, depending on the context. And rewrited the rules for R with [ ] after/before. Zlatoje> more letters for serbian/croatian will come in another file, later and also the romani (gypsy) alphabet.

Here is a first version of Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian based on my Macedonian file. I've not tested it, I've just wrote it at work and I don't have a lot of songs in these languages. Zlatoje, please test it, and enjoy !

question in French about context...
