Assigning a tempo change to a repeat?

Hello, all!

My new question is whether anyone knows of a way of applying, for example, a big rallentando solely to the last of, say, six verses?  (This would be similar to specifying which repeat a dynamic marking should be applied to.)

I tried getting what I wanted by assigning the measure numbers as played, rather than as written, in the tempo dialogue box, but that doesn't work.

Not very elegant, but this works....

Repeat (copy-paste) the last verse beyond the final repeat mark, adding your rallentendo.

Modify breaks so as to play the repeat loop one time less* than indicated, and then the slower final repeat.

Mark the bar before the final repeat mark as Last Bar to Print , so that the extra bars are not visible.

* fewer? - I am unsure of English grammar, let alone French!

My rule of thumb is "less" of a bulk item ("less sugar"), and "fewer" of a number of items ("fewer apples").  In your example, I think "one time fewer" works just fine.

Je crois qu'on dit également en français "moins du sucre" et "moins de pommes."  Par hasard, ai-je raison?

And I forgot to say, thanks for reminding me of "Last bar to print."  I had completely forgotten about it.

Pas tout-à-fait. On dit:
"Je mange du sucre, de la viande, des pommes..."
mais
"Je mange moins de sucre, moins de viande, moins de pommes".
La nature du "de" n'est pas la même dans les deux lignes, dans la première il y a un sens de "some", dans la seconde un sens de "of" (comme dans "more of this").
