I hope someone may have a use for these 3 voices.
They are too large to attach here so I  will put them all in a zip file on my son's web site at:-

http://aaronlawrence.fastmail.fm/muddlestuff/3voices.zip

If anyone  want to store them on some other site, please do so freely.
And if you find a fault in them please advise!

The first one is a female version of Robert's voice.
The formant combination was a result of experimenting (and luck.)
The voice has some  fragments changed to compensate for the high range, some consonants were reduced.
In a real piece it may still be necessary to equalize ( parameter curves help)  or alter the vowel used at times on high notes.
The "formant power" was set as high as it would go without causing high note distortion.

The voice  has tone  slightly  like Kathleen Ferrier so I have called it Kathleen.
For some reason this slow version has  an odd shape  volume curve but since it works I'm not going to change it.
For faster use the starting volume  slopes should be made steeper.

The attached sample Kathleen uses volume curves  and vibrato effects.

The last two voices are:-
Robert ... made into an operatic tenor.
Laurier's  natural gentle french voice  turned into a more operatic bass.

The formant settings for the timbre of the bass voice  seem to work on most real voices,  but not on virtual ones.
Increasing the "formant power" setting on these voices seem to make them  more "operatic", but Robert could not go to the max without altering some high notes badly.

After doing the example attached  ( a fairly restrained version!)  I listened to some professional versions on you tube, and I wonder just what is needed to approach that sort of human sound.
Perhaps if one make the virtual voice from a real  professional voice it would be better?  Or might it be possible to use parameter curves more intensively?

Anyway, I hope the voices are of interest.

 Cheers Muddle.

Great sound!
I point this forum topic to Guillion Bros so they can add these voices on VS page.

Some after thoughts .
There are other real  voices which might be useful.
The english soprano, tenor, baritone, bass versions of "david" ( put on the forum some years ago) have been  extended to latin/italian.
And a bass version made of the "da pacem' latin voice using the formants discovered for the Laurier voice.
The David baritone will do tenor as well so I have left the tenor out.

I've added another zip file of them for download at:-.

http://aaronlawrence.fastmail.fm/muddlestuff/5morevoices.zip

An extra voice is included; an "American bass" that I changed and then extended to latin/italian.
It has a good  bass tone and will modify to an alto voice.
The site where I noticed the voice, says they will not reply to emails so there's no 'official' permission  to use.
But since the files there are freely available I'm fairly sure it is okay to include the modified voice  in a  download.
If in doubt ... don't use?

NOTE ..It is possible to alter the  timbre and style of all the current voices.
They can be 'stretched' to sound good in a particular style.
The usual problem is that when you want to make a womens voice, or a much changed one, the fragments might need to be altered in  volume ot tone

But...  I still think it would be good if there were some more voices.
If anyone has an experimental voice please feel encouraged to make it available here.
You don't have to have an amazing singing voice, just an interesting tone.

I suppose that for learning a choir part a single clear VS singer is the easiest and best.
But perhaps others ( like me) would sometimes like  to make a choir that emulates a live human performance, and for this the more variety in real voices you have the better.
Usually one can combine several real voices with something like "aahs2" ot whatever general  choir sounds you have access to via midi.

cheers to all.   Have a restful xmas.    David.

This was such fun I shall have to upload a tenor david as well:-.

http://aaronlawrence.fastmail.fm/muddlestuff/Davio.zip

Having got an interesting tenor timbre  I thought I would compare it to a real version  by the young Pavarotti on you tube.
Oh dear...    the amount of volume changes required to get a similar sort of life in it!
I don't remember if  'virtual singer' has been changed with respect to how it handles pressure times, but I had to use volume to shape the notes shorter in many cases.
And then there was the  adjusting of words on the notes.. adding word fragments to get the same emphasis as the real thing.
The new voice has more "drift"' towards the next note than the other voices and the volume curve has a bump upwards at the start to give emphasis.

I called it  Davio to suggest its character.

A note here as well..
The 'Davidia' voice uploaded earlier  was discovered to have a fragment ( CH) that had been set to almost zero volume at some point.
A corrected version is now in the previous '5morevoices 'zip file.
