Awale is one of the most ancient games still played. The Masai say
that the Awale was invented by Sindillo, the son of the first man,
Maitoumbe, and was originally called geshe.
This fascinating African game (also known as Awele, Oware, Wari,
...) has been very attractively adapted on microcomputer. Play
against the computer and try to defeat him.
A very realistic game, with solid wood and clattering stones.
Awale is bilingual (English and French).

2000, NT4 or XP, 2.5 Mb of free memory and a 256-colors
screen.

The unregistered version only enables to play the weakest game
levels.

- The Internet play has been completely rewritten. It now runs on
our own server and provides a better speed and reliability.
- ATP ranking is now managed directly by our server and gives you

- Because a lot of stolen registration numbers have been
distributed over the Internet, the old serial numbers are not
accepted by this new version. If you bought an old
registration number you can get a new one for free using this page.
- The Macintosh 68k version is no longer supported.
- The Windows 3.1x version is no longer supported. Awale runs
under Windows 95, 98, NT4 and 2000
